Sarah, Plain and Tall

Here's another book from America, about a family of a father with two children, an older girl and a younger boy. The children's mother died after the little boy was born, and since then their family has had no mother. This story is about a woman who comes to join the family, and perhaps to marry the father. You may find this story is very different from your idea of American 'romance' because it's set in the past, when marriage was usually made for economic reasons rather than for love.
